Review: Bikini Perfect Deluxe Trimmer
Hey Beauties this post is dedicated to all my fashionistas on a budget!!! LOL
I feel like it’s my duty to bring you not only the most luxurious products out there but also those products that will make you feel and look like a million bucks without breaking the bank. My latest review is on the Bliss Bikini Perfect Deluxe Trimmer and I don’t know how I ever lived without it. About 2 months ago I saw this in Sephora and I was a little bit apprehensive about purchasing this product simply because I haven’t had the best track record when it comes to personal shavers but this has all changed with one purchase. This cordless, rechargeable, shower-friendly personal trimmer is $70.00 at Sephora and it is truly a BEST BUY! Bliss has teamed with Philips to create this spa like at home hair remover. I purchased the Spa Edition which also comes with some amazing Bliss goodies like the Lemon & Sage Body Butter, Lemon & Sage Body Scrub, Ingrown hair eliminating pads and a drawstring bag to carry everything all nice and neat.
Why I love this product
The price is amazing at $70 you can really make that bikini wax lasts and lets face it everyone is looking to save now and days. Another reason is that this trimmer comes with 6 interchangeable attachments (a precision trimmer, precision comb, epilator, micro shaver, micro trimmer, and eyebrow comb) that do pretty much everything that you need. My favorite is the epilator it gives you the closest shave ever and leaves skin baby soft, but be sure to use the ingrown hair eliminating pads. Overall a great buy, the charge lasts long, it’s shower friendly and travels well…..what more could a girl want???
What I dislike about this product
There really isn’t much I dislike about the product as I stated before overall a great product but if I had to nitpick here it is. My fav attachment is the epilator but be forewarned about this, it does take some getting use to as it pinches a little when you first use it. Just like the sting of waxing and eventually you get use to it, also when using this particular attachment for areas like your under arms it can take a while so don’t be in a rush. Other than that all the rest of the attachments work great, the only other thing is that I do wish that the ‘extras’ that you receive were full size only because I am totally addicted to the Lemon & Sage body scrub………
So there you have it Beauties my take on the Bliss Bikini Perfect Deluxe Trimmer, and yes this has made it to my list of summer must haves!! Until next time B Beautiful everyone!

Review: Rx for Brown Skin

Hello beauties I hope you are all ready for a product review about one of the most fabulous products on the market today for women of color it’s called Rx for Brown Skin. I was first introduced to the line about 3 years ago while shopping in Sephora with a client and there was a rep for the company there. Heard about the products loved what I had heard and on top of that I was very familiar with the creator of the line Dr. Susan Taylor, who by the way is also a woman of color. So long story short I was totally in love with the products and after 6-8 months of use and fabulously clear skin Sephora stopped carrying the product and I like many others was left with nothing to clear up my skin………..
Until 2 weeks ago I saw the commercial on television that one of my all time favorite products was back a available to be ordered. I almost jumped out of my seat, and let me tell you why. There really is no product on the market targeted towards women of color and the best thing of all is that the products actually work!! This time around the line is simplified and has all the basics that you need for beautiful skin, a cleanser, toner and moisturizer as well as the botanical brightener. Now this time around will I personally be using the entire line….no I won’t and that really is because I have such oily skin that I am going to stick with what has been working for me. But I will tell you the item I am most excited about the Naturally Flawless Botanical Brightener. When this went off the market I literally was in tears because I had not found another product that can do what this does…..even out your skin tone. I like many who have oily skin often get breakouts which will leave scars on my face but with this Botanical Brightener my scars faded over a 3 month period and I had actually stopped using concealer to cover them. It didn’t add any discoloration to my skin like other fade creams and it didn’t clogged my already oily pores so this right here really is the best thing since sliced bread and I highly recommend it. Remember this is only my opinion and just because I don’t use the entire line doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t either, take a look at the website I know tons of women and men of color who sing the praises of all these products. Raven Simone Gives Bridal Inspiration
At a recent event in Las Vegas fab chic Raven Simone hit the red carpet with a simply beautiful summer look. The moment I saw it I was instantly inspired by her outfit & hair and the first thing to come to mind was…….a bridal party would look fab! With many bridal parties now traditional is no longer the trend, many bridal parties are now setting their own trends with fashion forward dresses and trendy hair & makeup this look from head to toe gets an A+ in my book.
The breakdown……
First her makeup screams spring/summer makeup with it’s trendy take on subtle smokey eye, just the right amount of shimmer make this look really pop without being too much. I am loving Raven rocking her natural curls and accentuating them the that adorable headband!
